About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the Local & Direct Sales Procurement Team and report to the global Chief Procurement Officer
Manage all Strategic and Operational Procurement activities in countries where Mitel operates
Manage procurement of third-party hardware, software, services and solutions resold directly to end customers
Lead Procurement-related input into BSI/ISO/other certification audits
Ensure compliance with local and global ESG/CSR regulations and public procurement rules
Lead and develop the procurement team to achieve high engagement, capability, performance and results
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Identify and implement procurement strategies to optimize commercial, operational and social outcomes
Develop expertise in Mitel products, services, solutions and relevant purchasing and sales markets
Monitor markets and analyze supplier and pricing developments
Ensure efficient operational performance, workload distribution and collaborative team culture
Ensure compliance with procurement processes, policies and governance standards and promote process optimization
Lead procurement involvement in internal and external audit processes
Guide the team in high-value procurement activities across the full purchasing lifecycle, including RFXs and tender processes
Guide the team in negotiating commercial contract aspects with suppliers and service providers
Work with Legal and Functional teams on contractual and operational arrangements
Build, manage and develop supplier relationships and performance
Support internal stakeholders in defining business requirements and specifications
Identify and implement cost-saving and value-creation initiatives
Manage escalations and support operational continuity

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years experience in Procurement within a technology or service-oriented environment
Significant direct experience in supplier management, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions
Demonstrable Management or Leadership experience and success within a complex matrix organisation
Demonstrable strong communication and stakeholder management skills and experience
Confident and professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Evidence of delivery of significant commercial and operational results both personally and as part of a collaborative team
Fluency in English and German is essential
Very high proficiency in German and English language is critical for success
