About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Service, repair, and maintain materials handling equipment
  • Diagnose faults on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and engine systems
  • Deliver excellent customer service across a varied client base
  • Manage own workload and maintain accurate service records
  • Install or commission new machinery when needed
  • Support customers in keeping operations safe, reliable, and productive
  • Work independently across a home-based, local field-service territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Mechanical engineering background with some electrical knowledge
  • Experience working on mobile machinery or similar equipment
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Practical knowledge of electrical drive and control systems
  • Practical knowledge of diesel/LPG engines
  • Practical knowledge of hydraulics
  • Practical knowledge of computer-based diagnostics
  • Background in automotive, HGV, LGV, PSV, plant, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, REME, roadside recovery, forklift/materials handling, or field service is welcomed
  • Ability to work from home covering a local radius within the Leicester, Derby and Nottingham region
