Key responsibilities & impact

Lead end-to-end design of AI-powered creation features from discovery and UX strategy through polished, developer-ready UI
Plan and run user research and turn insights into recommendations using AI tools for rapid synthesis
Check research findings against source data
Design for unpredictable AI output, including generation states, multiple results, regeneration, partial success, and graceful failure
Create controls that keep users in charge
Build trust through transparency and responsible AI practices
Address privacy of personal photos and fair representation in generated content
Deliver responsive UI and code-based prototypes across web and iOS
Contribute reusable AI interaction patterns to the design system
Partner with product managers, engineers, and designers
Document decisions so the team can continue the work after the engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need

8–10 years in UX/UI or product design
Portfolio showing end-to-end work and shipped AI-powered features, including process, trade-offs, and outcomes
Fluency with AI design tools such as Figma Make, Claude, and Cursor
Ability to prototype with real model output
Experience designing generative or AI-assisted creative tools
Strong understanding of LLM-based systems, including non-deterministic output, latency, and error modes
Strong interaction and visual design craft
Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and native iOS conventions
Clear async writing and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and drive decisions with cross-functional partners
Degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or equivalent practical experience
