About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Internal Teams, Sales, Customers, and other parties to conduct process audits and inspections of tools and products
- Perform daily inspection of incoming material using written procedures and document results
- Move conforming material to the stockroom
- Move nonconforming material to the MRB area
- Support MRB activities
- Move dispositioned material to the proper area
- Complete and process necessary documentation
- Perform detailed first article inspections when required and document results
- Interface with appropriate parties to address issues noted
- Use computer terminals and networked PCs to access catalog parts book, purchase order information, and part ship-to-stock status
- Report to the Senior Quality Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience using inspection tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, drop indicators, radius gauges, gage blocks, height gauges, and digital multimeters
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to read blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Ability to maintain accurate inspection records, including part history records, nonconformance reports, and ship-to-stock requests
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with internal customers
- Ability to lift material up to 50 pounds
- Good knowledge of measurement accuracy and measurement terminology
- Theory and operation of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) preferred
- CMM programming experience a plus
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems to obtain drawings and enter data
- Applicants for positions requiring access to ITAR/EAR-controlled goods and technologies may need to be U.S. persons
