About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own execution and results of Product Compliance audits and certification-surveillance programs across assigned MKS manufacturing locations
  • Coordinate with corporate compliance, quality, manufacturing, operations, engineering, supply chain, supplier quality, and external laboratories/certification bodies
  • Establish action owners, due dates, escalation paths, and measurable deliverables
  • Report to the Director of Product Compliance
  • Own Product Compliance audits for assigned manufacturing sites and all certification activities
  • Ensure third-party audit readiness and execution, timely closure of findings, and controls maintaining certified products' compliance
  • Establish audit deliverables and hold cross-functional teams and suppliers accountable to committed dates
  • Escalate missed commitments and ensure gaps are mitigated before audits
  • Own compliance-critical manufacturing controls including receiving inspection, calibration, production test records, document control, engineering/manufacturing change control, and product transfers related to the CCL
  • Evaluate changes for certification impact and complete agency notifications and technical reviews before implementation
  • Manage relationships with MKS compliance, third-party laboratories, NRTLs/certification bodies, inspectors, and technical reviewers
  • Plan and manage assigned third-party audit, certification, and related services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. or M.S. in EE, ME, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in product compliance, certification, quality, manufacturing, or regulatory engineering
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams and drive deliverables to closure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of product safety and EMC/EMI compliance requirements and standards including IEC/UL/EN 61010-1, IEC/EN 61326-1, IEC/EN 60825-1, applicable IEC 61000 series standards, and SEMI S2
  • Working knowledge of global product compliance frameworks and regulations including CE marking, LVD, EMC, FCC, NRTL certifications, UKCA, KC, RoHS, REACH, and China RoHS
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality-system controls relevant to certification audits
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and internal auditing principles
  • Strong program-management discipline
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30%
  • Ability to work in manufacturing, laboratory, and supplier environments and comply with site safety and PPE requirements
  • Certain positions may require eligibility for access to controlled goods and technologies subject to export controls
  • Background checks and drug screens conducted in accordance with applicable law and company policies
