About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with internal teams to lead complex, high-impact technology initiatives within the Office of the CIO
- Drive strategy for a collection of projects or mid-sized programs
- Ensure alignment with enterprise goals and manage cross-functional teams to deliver results on time, within scope, and budget
- Shape and size the demand pipeline and help sequence and prioritize projects and programs
- Lead complex, high-impact projects involving multiple departments and stakeholder groups
- Translate strategic objectives into detailed project plans with clear milestones and outcomes
- Identify required resources and manage them effectively and efficiently
- Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and issues across projects and workstreams
- Drive alignment between business and technical teams
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships; maintain accurate monthly financial trackers
- Assess change readiness and prepare business stakeholders for change adoption
- Serve as primary point of contact for executive stakeholders and sponsors
- Create project artifacts and deliver reporting, including project and/or sprint plans, status reports, stakeholder analysis, issues, risks and mitigation, and training documentation
- Ensure transition from project mode to steady state with business and IT teams
- Ensure adherence to PMO governance, reporting, and quality standards
- Mentor less experienced project managers and support continuous improvement of project management practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience managing complex or cross-functional projects
- Experience with IT Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing Operations
- Program-Level Coordination – Overseeing interrelated projects with shared goals
- Contract & Vendor Management – Managing third-party deliverables and contracts
- Business Case Management – partnering with internal stakeholders to define and realize program and project business cases
- Advanced Financial Management – Lifecycle costing, ROI, and earned value management
- Change Management – Leading transitions, training, and adoption of new processes/tools
- PM Methodologies – Deep understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models
- Governance & Compliance – Ensuring alignment with policies, audits, and regulations
- PMP or CAPM certification preferred
- Ability to take and follow directions and instructions
- Ability to interact with employees, customers, suppliers, vendors, or the public in a safe, professional, and respectful manner
- Trustworthiness, reliability, and good judgment
- May need to be a “U.S. person” for positions involving controlled goods and technologies subject to ITAR or EAR
