About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, test, and ship features in Go API services with support and code review from senior engineers
  • Own delivered features end-to-end, from initial design discussions through production behavior and customer outcomes
  • Work with AWS infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Operate the services being built
  • Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making
  • Use AI development tools deliberately and effectively to enhance code quality and delivery speed while maintaining accountability for engineering output
  • Report directly to the CTO
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and receive mentorship

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Approximately 1 to 3 years of commercial software engineering experience, or equivalent evidence of building and shipping production-level software
  • Go at the center of the skill set, through commercial experience or substantial project experience with a deep understanding of language principles
  • User-first mindset focused on API/interface usability and technical problem solving
  • Fluent and deliberate integration of AI assistance, such as Claude, into development workflows while maintaining oversight and understanding of all code
  • Familiarity with AWS, containers, and CI/CD concepts, including Fargate, Lambda, Aurora Postgres, DynamoDB, and GitHub Actions
  • Strong bias to action

  • Interest in fintech, credit data, or regulated industries; direct domain experience is a plus
