About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, test, and deploy features across the full stack, including frontend UI/UX, backend services, and database schemas
  • Build APIs, optimize SQL queries, and set up deployment pipelines as needed
  • Collaborate with product designers, founders, and engineers to turn ambiguous ideas into production-ready software
  • Maintain clean abstractions and write maintainable code
  • Help ensure system reliability as the user base grows
  • Take end-to-end ownership of features and address high-impact bottlenecks across the codebase
  • Help shape technical architecture as the company scales

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience across backend and frontend systems
  • Fluency in modern languages and frameworks such as Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, React, Rust, and PostgreSQL
  • Track record of learning new technologies quickly
  • Preference for rapid iteration and pragmatic, product-minded engineering
  • Track record of taking complex features from concept to production with minimal supervision
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Experience in fast-paced startup environments or early-stage team dynamics (nice-to-have)
  • Exposure to AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform (nice-to-have)
  • Interest or experience with AI/LLM frameworks and APIs (nice-to-have)
