About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, lead, and manage special projects across MN8 Energy's utility-scale and C&I renewable energy assets, from scoping through close-out.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for MN8 Energy, the Capital Improvements team, and the Asset Management team on assigned projects.
  • Source, qualify, and manage subcontractors and vendors, including negotiating scopes of work, monitoring performance and quality, and enforcing contractual compliance.
  • Translate prioritized remediation and improvement scopes into actionable project execution plans.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and field personnel to develop project scopes, technical specifications, and materials lists.
  • Partner with procurement to source and order materials, and track deliveries.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and risk logs; proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare regular project status reports and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to standardize project management practices and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to oversee subcontractor work quality and project progress.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field trade certification; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of project management or field service experience, ideally within renewable energy, construction, utilities, or infrastructure.
  • PMP certification preferred, not required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and vendors, including scope negotiation and performance management.
  • Working knowledge of solar or other renewable energy asset technical components is a plus.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and risk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers.
  • Proficiency with project management tools/software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore, or similar).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to project sites.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
