About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications.
- Work directly with inventors and engineers to understand complex technologies and develop strong patent claims.
- Prepare Office Action responses and manage applications throughout prosecution.
- Assist clients with patent strategy and portfolio development.
- Develop and expand client relationships.
- Work on quantum computing, cybersecurity, cryptography, semiconductors, software, AI, and other advanced-technology patents.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of substantive patent preparation and prosecution experience.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and prosecuting quantum computing patent applications.
- Cybersecurity, cryptography, semiconductor, or sophisticated software patent experience strongly preferred.
- B.S. or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- USPTO registration required.
- JD.
- Strong patent drafting, technical writing, and client communication skills.
- Some portable patent prosecution business preferred.
