About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct mechanical tests including tensile, compression, drop, and impact testing
- Perform environmental tests such as temperature, humidity, and thermal shock
- Operate and maintain laboratory test equipment and monitoring systems
- Prepare test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation according to test procedures
- Record and analyze test data, generate test reports, and communicate results to engineers
- Ensure tests comply with relevant standards such as MIL-STD, IEC, and ISO
- Support failure analysis and root cause investigations
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance
- Assist in developing and improving test methods and documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.Sc. or higher Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials, Chemical or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical or environmental testing or a similar role
- Hands-on experience operating environmental test equipment
- Experience with computerized test automation systems
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and test specifications
- Strong data analysis and technical reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Background in the automotive industry (advantage)
- Experience with automotive environmental standards and qualification tests (advantage)
