About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, control, and execute maintenance activities and projects within the Turbomachinery discipline.
  • Provide technical assistance to offshore units and supervise corrective and preventive maintenance activities and projects.
  • Develop design solutions, define work packages, and monitor and analyze KPIs and statistics.
  • Contribute to the vessels’ POB Plan and monitor the integrated maintenance plan.
  • Participate in strategic and corporate projects and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain equipment availability, ensure execution of the maintenance plan, and reduce backlog.
  • Support the annual budget planning for operating and capital expenditures related to Turbomachinery Systems.
  • Ensure legal, regulatory, and technical compliance; participate in audits; and develop action plans for nonconformities.
  • Participate in technical review meetings with clients.
  • Evaluate and prequalify suppliers, prepare technical scopes, approve proposals, and oversee contracts and services.
  • Implement maintenance strategies, practices, and workflows across the fleet.
  • Support departments and all Tiers on matters related to Turbomachinery Systems, including MOCs, TQs, RCAs, and safety studies.
  • Document lessons learned and closeout reports for EPCI projects.
  • Support projects during the BID, EPCI, and Pre-Operations phases.
  • Investigate failures and incidents involving turbomachinery equipment, conducting root cause analyses and preparing technical documentation.
  • Travel offshore to investigate and provide technical support during HSSE accidents and incidents, when required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Postgraduate degree in a field related to the area of expertise is a plus.
  • MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Availability to travel offshore to operating units when required.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with NR-12, NR-37, NFPA, ASME, API Standards, and other applicable statutory, regulatory, flag-state, and classification requirements.
  • Ability to prepare root cause analyses, work packages, technical reports, documentation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work with GTCs, GTGs, steam turbines, and other turbomachinery equipment.
  • Technical Responsibility Annotation (ART).
