About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help launch and grow Modern Family Law’s new Atlanta office
- Handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, custody, and child and spousal support
- Communicate directly with clients
- Draft legal documents
- Handle depositions, court appearances, and mediations
- Manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Work collaboratively within a team-oriented setting
- Develop substantive litigation skills early in the career
- Meet a low billable-hours requirement of 100 hours per month
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active admission to the Georgia State Bar
- 0–3 years of Family Law experience preferred
- Experience in Family Law preferred; open to litigation candidates interested in practicing Family Law
- Ability to handle family law cases such as divorce, custody, and child and spousal support
- Experience or ability to draft legal documents
- Experience or ability to handle depositions, court appearances, and mediations
- Exceptional writing and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a client-focused mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented setting
