Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in MFL Academy’s Residency Program in an Austin, Dallas, or San Antonio Texas office
Complete training in substantive family law and courtroom advocacy
Receive mentorship from the MFL Learning & Development department and legal teams
Transition to an MFL Associate Attorney position upon passing the Bar
Manage family law matters involving divorce, child custody, financial support, and more
Maintain direct client contact and case management
Practice and develop litigation skills as first chair early in the career
Complete training and develop skills in client conversion
Study proactively, build confidence, ask questions, complete assignments, and prepare to handle client matters from start to finish
As an Associate Attorney, meet a low billable-hours requirement of 100 hours per month

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
Register for the upcoming February or July Bar exam
Attain a passing score on the MPRE before sitting for the Bar exam
Timely submission and approval of Character & Fitness application by the State Bar
Must sit for the Bar and plan to reside in the state where applying
Experience in Family Law Clinics is a plus
Mock Trial experience is a plus
Submission of cover letter, law school transcript, and responses to candidate questionnaire
Ability to perform assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations
