About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in MFL Academy’s Residency Program in an Atlanta or Savannah, Georgia office
  • Receive training in substantive family law and courtroom advocacy after sitting for the Bar exam
  • Receive mentorship from the MFL Learning & Development department and legal teams
  • Transition to an MFL Associate Attorney position upon passing the Bar
  • Maintain 100 billable hours per month as an Associate Attorney
  • Manage direct client contact and cases involving divorce, child custody, financial support, and related matters
  • Practice and develop litigation skills as first chair early in the career
  • Complete training and develop skills in client conversion
  • Study, complete assignments, prepare to handle client matters from start to finish, and incorporate feedback

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3L or recent graduate sitting for the February 2027 or July 2027 Bar exam
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Register for the upcoming February or July Bar exam
  • Attain a passing score on the MPRE before sitting for the Bar exam
  • Timely submission and approval of Character & Fitness application by the State Bar
  • Must sit for the Bar and plan to reside in the state where applying
  • Experience in Family Law Clinics is a plus
  • Mock Trial experience is a plus
  • Submission of cover letter, law school transcript, and responses to candidate questionnaire
