About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the Center's patient care services
  • Manage hospital inpatient areas and/or ambulatory clinics and related programs
  • Oversee clinical and ancillary staff
  • Ensure smooth delivery of quality patient care from scheduling through checkout
  • Collaborate with leadership at the Center to support its mission, vision, and strategy
  • Monitor quality, safety, productivity, and appropriateness of services using Patient and Family Centered Care principles
  • Ensure clinical, academic, and faculty support activities comply with budgetary, hospital, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
  • Provide administrative direction and leadership for clinical staff, policies, procedures, and programs
  • Plan, organize, and administer nursing services, including staffing, training and development, communications, and documentation
  • Maintain quality patient care standards and advise medical staff, department heads, and the administrator on nursing services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's Degree in MSN, MS, MPH, MBA, or MHA; nursing must be in an accredited school
  • May be currently enrolled in an approved Master's program, provided the candidate graduates within 2 years of hire/promotion date
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
  • Skilled in strategic and tactical planning
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of patient care processes
  • Skilled in capital, operational, labor, and special-project budgeting and financial analysis
  • Interpersonal skills to provide effective leadership and maintain collaborative interdisciplinary relationships
  • Analytical abilities for day-to-day operations and strategic planning
  • Demonstrated skills in physician relations, conflict resolution, problem-solving, staff development, and time management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent decision-making
  • Ability to promote safe patient care and customer satisfaction
