About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and track visa applications, work permits, renewals, and other immigration requirements for talent relocating to Latin America
  • Ensure immigration processes comply with applicable regulations and company policies
  • Identify and escalate risks, upcoming expirations, and work authorization issues
  • Coordinate immigration service providers and monitor responsiveness, service quality, and adherence to service-level agreements
  • Guide employees through immigration processes and communicate document requirements, steps, and timelines
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, People Leads, Legal, Payroll, Global Mobility, and other internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate case records, immigration documentation, and expiration trackers while ensuring confidentiality
  • Anticipate obstacles, address delays, and coordinate solutions with service providers and the Global Mobility team
  • Prepare updates on case status, processing timelines, and vendor performance
  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen compliance and employee experience
  • Use process and service knowledge to meet service-level agreements and obligations
  • Contribute to standard operating procedures, training materials, process standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–3 years of experience in immigration, global mobility, or visa and work permit coordination within a corporate environment, consultancy, or specialized firm
  • Practical knowledge of Mexican immigration processes, particularly visas and work permits
  • Knowledge of immigration processes in other Latin American countries is desirable
  • Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience coordinating external service providers and supporting international employees is preferred
  • Ability to explain processes and requirements clearly and adapt communication to different audiences
  • Customer service orientation, empathy, responsiveness, and commitment to a positive employee experience
  • Ability to anticipate needs, risks, and deadlines and follow through until resolution
  • Strong collaboration skills across local, regional, and global teams
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and manage expectations and competing priorities
  • Sound judgment to assess situations, recommend solutions, and escalate issues appropriately
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, documents, and deadlines accurately
  • Commitment to compliance and responsible handling of sensitive information
