About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead legal activities across the region, business units, and sub-function areas in the country and/or across multiple countries
  • Identify business needs and design, develop, and implement Mondelēz International’s legal strategy through the service delivery model and governance
  • Lead and advise the business on risk, anticipating and addressing internal and external factors
  • Direct legal colleagues in executing the legal approach and determine directions for addressing legal issues or concerns
  • Lead, review, and revamp legal teams in a continuously changing environment
  • Ensure availability of new technologies, systems, and services within the strategy framework
  • Set and implement legal strategies that support competition and protect people, assets, and reputation while complying with legal and ethical standards
  • Lead the legal team in delivering legal services at optimal cost using internal and external resources, technologies, and systems
  • Provide legal guidance so managers can make informed decisions about legal operational risks
  • Manage legal strategy with outside counsel, including spending
  • Partner with business units, regions, and global stakeholders to identify and advise on laws and regulatory changes, risks, and opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant legal experience, ideally in a large matrixed multinational company
  • Strong analytical, strategic vision, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience navigating and presenting at all levels of organization
  • Significant experience assessing, advising on risk, advising/coaching and dispute resolution in a multinational company
  • Highest level of integrity and trust; highly credible and willing to express
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resourcefulness, including relevant new technologies and systems
  • Experience leading legal activities across regions, business units, sub-function areas, or multiple countries
  • Experience advising on legal operational risks, laws, and regulatory changes
  • Experience managing legal strategy with outside counsel and legal spending
