About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as legal support for the UK business and wider international Moneycorp Group, predominantly focusing on corporate matters
  • Review and advise on financing arrangements, credit facilities, security documentation, capital structuring, and shareholder funding agreements
  • Manage the Group’s corporate structure and support company incorporations, dissolutions, and reorganisations
  • Advise directors on regulatory compliance, statutory duties, and internal company policies
  • Draft board and shareholder resolutions
  • Oversee filing of accounts and confirmation statements
  • Assist with Board meeting preparation, including assembling Board packs and taking minutes
  • Ensure suitability of Group standard contracts
  • Review, negotiate, and advise on contracts for Group functions
  • Manage the company share scheme, including equity issues and share buy-backs
  • Assist with corporate acquisitions and disposals
  • Instruct external legal counsel where appropriate
  • Assist with commercial, regulatory, and employment law work conducted by the Group Legal team
  • Assist with organising Group insurance cover

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Legal knowledge and experience with financing, corporate structure, M&A, debt facilities, banking, corporate governance, private equity structures, and corporate restructuring
  • UK qualified lawyer
  • At least 4 years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience gained in a large law firm and/or in-house with a major firm
  • Previous corporate legal experience
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask accurately
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Qualified solicitor
