About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prospect, establish, nurture, and grow leisure, corporate, OTA, bank travel, consortia, business travel, and entertainment accounts
- Develop and implement sales and relationship-building strategies for Montage’s luxury hospitality portfolio
- Support property-level strategies and align them with overall business goals
- Manage the Western Region and assigned brand-level accounts
- Solicit new and existing accounts through outside sales calls, site visits, familiarization events, virtual meetings, telephone, and written communication
- Negotiate complex agreements covering transient pricing and distribution
- Maintain relationships with key travel agency accounts in the Western Region
- Collaborate with GSO members, Field Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, hotel teams, and property-level sales forces
- Engage with regional industry organizations, conferences, trade shows, networking events, and travel agency-hosted conferences
- Develop strategic familiarization trips with hotel partners
- Maintain client production reporting and database analytics, including property revenue, ADR, ancillary spend, and market share
- Participate in or lead discipline-specific meetings with property sales teams
- Monitor market trends, competition, and customers and share insights with corporate and property teams
- Coordinate promotional events, receptions, roadshows, customer appreciation parties, incentives, and sales missions
- Drive continuous improvement of relationships, consortia management, wholesale, rate parity, business travel programs, and amenity programming
- Partner with Corporate Revenue Management on global travel industry partnership strategy
- Review account production and focus growth efforts accordingly
- Lead and participate in special projects, best-practice sharing, and process standardization
- Measure and analyze data and provide analytical support to improve sales strategies, coverage models, and territory configurations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years progressive experience in Sales & Marketing Discipline
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Self-starter and self-manager
- Flexible and highly adaptable to change
- Strong professional demeanor using good judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Exceptional communication skills to cultivate and manage effective relationships across the organization
- Strong technical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Excellent project management and process improvement skills; demonstrated ability to move projects from design to deployment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to travel at least 40% of the time
- Physical ability to sit at a desk up to 5 hours per day, walk and stand, lift up to 15 lbs regularly, and perform required movements
- Must complete pre-employment substance abuse testing
