About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop back-office features in Ruby on Rails
- Model and design PostgreSQL databases with a strong focus on security and normalization
- Migrate data and business logic from the legacy MS SQL Server system
- Analyze existing structures and port them thoughtfully and securely
- Build integrations with external systems, including CRM and payment gateways
- Work with PM/PO to reconstruct domain logic from the old system
- Maintain code quality and security for sensitive customer and billing data
- Build and maintain internal tools supporting client-matching, sales, and operations workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid commercial experience with Ruby on Rails
- Skills in relational database design, including normalization and data integrity
- Basic familiarity with React
- Awareness of CI/CD and containerized environment infrastructure
- Understanding of secure application design principles
- Experience with data/system migrations, Pundit, Inertia.js, or feature flags (nice to have)
- Knowledge of C#/.NET (nice to have)
- Experience in the travel/hospitality industry or projects with a strong customer-care focus (nice to have)
