About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform daily tasks associated with facilities and residential equipment across the property
  • Complete general repairs and services involving carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, and minor electrical work
  • Check pools and spas, including covering and uncovering them, balancing chemicals, and maintaining logs
  • Improve the function and reliability of facility equipment through preventive maintenance and reports
  • Follow standard operating procedures established by the Director of Facilities and Facilities Manager
  • Prioritize and complete work orders
  • Work with outside contractors as directed
  • Follow safety regulations
  • Perform light maintenance and cleaning as assigned
  • Complete assigned tasks, work orders, and maintenance procedures safely, correctly, and on time
  • Document maintenance and services according to company guidelines
  • Maintain records of work activities, parts used, and supplies needed
  • Work approximately 10% in-office and 90% onsite at various property locations
  • Remain on call nights, weekends, and/or holidays for emergencies based on business demands

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be dependable and available to work on property on weekends, nights, and/or holidays based on business demands
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Strong working knowledge of hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to operate power tools that vibrate and sharp cutting equipment
  • Ability to hear verbal communications and equipment operations
  • Ability to grip objects and move fingers and hands
  • Ability to see and read equipment operation manuals and safety instruction documents
  • Ability to remain sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • Pool experience and CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification preferred
