About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans aligned with business objectives
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and target accounts
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and order placement
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers, operational leaders, engineers, and procurement teams
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts through cross-selling and upselling opportunities
  • Understand customer manufacturing processes and identify applications for technical ceramic products
  • Support product trials, evaluations, and implementation activities
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, customer service, and other internal teams to deliver customer solutions
  • Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitive developments
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records in CRM systems and provide regular sales forecasts
  • Support pricing, quotation, and contract processes
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
  • Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, approximately 75%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven success in industrial B2B sales, account management, and business development
  • Experience selling technical, engineered, industrial, refractory, ceramic, thermal processing, metals, or manufacturing-related solutions
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to understand customer manufacturing processes and communicate technical concepts effectively
  • Experience building credibility with engineers, plant managers, procurement teams, and senior decision-makers
  • Self-motivated with strong territory planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered
  • Experience serving steel, heat treatment, foundry, glass, industrial furnace, or advanced manufacturing customers is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory
  • Applicants must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.15), including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or other protected individuals
