About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
  • Lead end-to-end processes and programs requiring complex decision-making and subject-matter expertise
  • Adhere to risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls; own risk and contingency plans for the business area
  • Review the deployed location in Mumbai
  • Prepare management reporting, internal finance metrics, and reporting on balance sheet, capital, and expenses for Business Heads
  • Review daily P&L and P&L attribution for Asia Commodities, including power, oil, gas, and derivatives
  • Produce and review revenue, balance sheet, sales credit, expenses, and capital analytical reporting
  • Interact with Sales & Trading, Operations, IT, Market Risk, and other finance groups on issues and projects
  • Manage, attract, develop, and retain Finance team talent while creating an inclusive environment
  • Translate Firmwide goals into actionable department or function goals
  • Act as a role model and culture carrier while holding the team accountable to Firm standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, industry, competitive environment, technical skills, risks, and relevant regulations
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and VBA skills, including navigating and working on complex spreadsheets
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and support team members
  • Ability to manage functional-area risk and create mitigation plans
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with product control, business unit, market risk, IT, legal, compliance, tax, accounting policy, and other functional groups
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a relevant discipline, with strong academic credentials
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience generally expected
