About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop positioning, messaging, objection handling, content, and sales tools for Morningstar Direct reporting capabilities
- Partner with Product Management and UX to understand workflows, client needs, and product priorities
- Create and execute go-to-market plans for reporting enhancements and releases
- Develop launch strategies, enablement materials, client communications, and adoption programs
- Conduct market research, client conversations, win-loss analysis, and usage analysis
- Identify reporting challenges, competitive objections, and adoption barriers with Sales and Client Success
- Build competitive intelligence for reporting, analytics, and portfolio management platforms
- Develop revenue-generating sales plays and adoption campaigns
- Create persona-based programs and content with Campaign Marketing
- Represent reporting capabilities across product narratives, client materials, digital experiences, events, webinars, and thought leadership
- Measure and communicate initiative impact through business metrics, campaign performance, adoption trends, and client outcomes
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, UX, Campaign Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Sales, and Client Success
- Report to the Director of Product Marketing for Direct Software
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, marketing, sales enablement, or a related function within financial services, fintech, software, or investment technology
- Experience with software platforms, workflow tools, analytics solutions, or reporting applications
- Strong ability to communicate complex product concepts in a simple, compelling, and customer-focused manner
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across product, sales, marketing, and client-facing teams
- Experience creating positioning, messaging, sales enablement materials, product launches, or adoption programs that drive measurable business outcomes
- Experience conducting market research, win-loss analysis, competitive intelligence, or customer segmentation projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Customer-centric mindset and ability to translate user insights into go-to-market strategies
- Comfort using data for prioritization, decision-making, and performance measurement
- Proven commitment to a test, learn, and iterate mindset
- Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
