About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, coordinate, and oversee all quality assurance activities supporting system development and maintenance
Lead and oversee a team of approximately 10 QA staff
Assign tasks, manage performance, and support professional development
Develop QA strategies aligned with project requirements and contractual obligations
Oversee creation and execution of manual and automated test cases, plans, and cycles
Participate in release planning and define, estimate, and schedule QA activities
Ensure integration, regression, performance, security, and penetration testing are completed
Ensure releases meet quality standards, acceptance criteria, and compliance requirements
Serve as primary QA liaison for the State Customer during major releases
Prepare and deliver status reports, quality metrics, and release readiness assessments
Coordinate QA activities with the State Customer’s UAT team
Monitor, track, and report defects, risks, and quality metrics
Maintain and continuously improve QA processes, standards, and tools
Ensure adherence to security, regulatory, and contractual requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Jira experience
Experience with automated testing
Experience with state or federal government systems, especially health and human services, eligibility, or benefits systems
Experience coordinating UAT with a customer
Experience with multiple testing environments
