About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, maintain and enhance reports and dashboards supporting data-driven decision making
Build, maintain and enhance dashboards, reports and self-service analytics solutions using Qlik Sense and/or Power BI
Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions
Develop and optimise SQL queries, views and data models
Improve reporting processes, data quality and operational efficiency through automation and enhanced analytics
Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve BI solution, dashboard and underlying data issues
Ensure reporting solutions are accurate, performant and aligned with business requirements
Support data-driven decision making through insight, training and guidance for business users
Collaborate with data scientists, SQL administrators and BI developers to ensure data accuracy, consistency and performance
Participate in Agile ceremonies and iterative development cycles
Perform other reasonably required duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business intelligence, computer science or a related field
Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer using BI technologies (Qlik preferred)
Experience working with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
Good knowledge of SQL development and queries and experience in data warehouse design and ETL framework
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages – Word, Outlook, Excel
Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile team
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to organise and prioritise
Good communication and decision-making skills
Customer focused mindset with a commitment to delivering value
Proactive approach with the ability to take the initiative and be innovative
