About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development and enhancement of customer value, segmentation, and predictive models
  • Analyse customer, sales, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Contribute to the design, build, testing, and deployment of machine learning and statistical models
  • Support pricing and commercial analysis through data exploration and modelling techniques
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to understand analytical requirements and business challenges
  • Develop dashboards, visualisations, and reporting solutions that communicate insights effectively
  • Participate in test-and-learn initiatives to measure the effectiveness of business strategies and campaigns
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to improve data quality, reporting, and analytical capabilities
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Stay up to date with developments in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and analytics
  • Report to the Head of Business Intelligence
  • Support projects across marketing, sales, pricing, and customer analytics during migration to Microsoft Fabric

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Data Science or closely related subject such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Analytics
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data modelling, and machine learning concepts
  • Experience using Python and/or R through academic projects, internships, or personal development
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Ability to work with large datasets and transform data into actionable insights
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn, develop, and build a career within data science
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Knowledge of cloud analytics platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Understanding of predictive modelling, customer analytics, or commercial analytics
  • Experience of applying machine learning techniques through university projects or internships
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control tools
