About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications in Rust.
- Build the core data model, geometry, and graph algorithms powering the modeling platform and its extension points.
- Contribute across the stack using Rust, WebAssembly, and TypeScript.
- Partner with product managers and designers to clarify requirements and ship features.
- Own software quality through unit and integration testing.
- Build cutting-edge, high-performance web applications for Motif’s agent-native building design and construction platform.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Understanding of the 3D modeling domain as applied to architecture, mechanical design, game development, or an adjacent field.
- 5+ years building complex, production-quality software.
- Production Rust experience, or depth in another systems language such as C++, with a strong understanding of memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization.
- Comfort with linear algebra, computational geometry, graph algorithms, and numerical robustness.
- Experience building web applications.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools in real production work.
- Comfort with startup pace, ambiguous requirements, and prioritization.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
