About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own features end to end: understand the problem, make decisions, and build solutions
Provide services and primitives supporting the Runneth user experience
Maintain fast, reliable, and secure systems
Work on integrations, data at scale, performance, and developer-experience problems
Contribute on a small, high-ownership team that ships constantly
Build and maintain the VM and services powering the Runneth Agent Runtime
Collaborate with the Agent Runtime engineering team on AI-powered features
Apply AI coding while holding generated code to the same standard as manually written code

Requirements

What you’ll need

Lives in Montreal and wants to be in the office three or four days a week
Product shipping experience, ideally in a small team where you owned the outcome
Strong programming fundamentals and production experience in multiple languages
Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Rust
Designed and shipped real systems with attention to architecture
Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain shipped architecture and decisions
Ability to translate technical issues into clear business impacts and prioritize accordingly
Comfortable with Linux and deep infrastructure is a bonus
AI coding is the default, with engineering judgment applied to AI-generated code
Must submit a resume and a short Loom covering a project, AI workflow, and motivation for Motion
