About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide therapy to mothers, expecting mothers, children, and families
- Provide clinical services and assessments, including DSM-V diagnosis
- Conduct initial intakes and initial and ongoing client assessments
- Provide group therapy sessions
- Build rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundaries
- Create individual treatment plans and crisis intervention plans
- Collaborate with clients’ care teams on care coordination and treatment planning
- Maintain an assigned caseload and meet productivity and billing expectations
- Assist Mental Health Center staff with maintaining competent records
- Identify and report important child or program needs to relevant personnel
- Participate regularly in the crisis phone line rotation
- Document dates, times, and progress notes in an online database
- Meet billing-hour expectations and documentation timelines
- Meet regularly with a supervisor and attend team meetings and training
- Perform other appropriate, job-related tasks as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree (MS, MA, Ph.D.) in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- At least two years of direct work experience in the social work field
- Current licensure as an LCSW or LCPC in the state of Montana, or ability to pursue licensure within 90 days of hire
- Thorough knowledge of trauma-informed care and maternal mental health
- Understanding of the effects of trauma on children, adolescents, and adults
- Strengths-based approach
- Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to provide DSM-V diagnoses
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organization, motivation, and attention to detail
- Commitment to racial equity and social justice
- Successful completion of a thorough background check
