About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Supplier Management in fulfilling supplier, business, and customer needs
- Serve as a point of contact for suppliers
- Assist with inventory, product selection, marketing, and pricing strategies for assigned suppliers
- Help achieve revenue, customer, and product goals
- Support the flow of suppliers' new products and technologies
- Verify and maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date product information in systems and databases
- Respond to Mouser teams and departments with swift, decisive, customer-focused solutions
- Support supplier activities and collaborate with functional teams throughout Mouser
- Employ effective communication, project management, and time management skills
- Stay current with policies, procedures, and processes
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management
- Report to a Corporate Supplier Manager or Director of Supplier Management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Working knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, and internal company systems
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to put the team first, offer help, write with clarity, apply functional expertise, offer practical solutions, maintain documentation, attend to multiple tasks, cope with uncertainty, strive for achievement, and take action
- Intermediate Excel skills preferred
- Demonstrates proficiency in the accountability, competencies, and skills of the Product Specialist role
- Capable of independent tasks and interactions with suppliers
- Ability to discern issues and coordinate appropriate escalation for resolution
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with suppliers at all levels
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business Discipline is preferred
- 2+ years of Buyer, CSA, CSR, Technical Support, or Product Specialist experience in a related industry required, with a demonstrated history of successful performance
- For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience
