About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Respond to alarms, alerts, and emergencies
  • Oversee day-to-day implementation of corporate security initiatives
  • Ensure alarms, video, locks, door hardware, and other security systems and devices are functional; request services as needed
  • Oversee security device installations and repairs
  • Provide site-specific security guidance and recommendations to Corporate Security Management and other teams
  • Administer local access control and badging systems and local badge deployment
  • Assist with investigations into basic security issues
  • Serve as the on-site representative and “eyes and ears” for Corporate Security Management
  • Comply with post orders to maintain the assigned site's security posture
  • Write reports on daily security findings and incidents
  • Support facilities and administrative staff with basic facilities needs
  • Stay current on security best practices
  • Prioritize emergencies, daily responsibilities, and long-term projects
  • Provide advice and guidance to business partners such as Legal and Human Resources regarding employee disputes and sensitive terminations
  • Make researched recommendations regarding security devices at the assigned site
  • Communicate with senior managers and all levels of the organization
  • Participate in security inspections and audits, manage access, and assist business units with events and personnel matters
  • Maintain security documents, manuals, and appropriate physical controls

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Security experience from Military or other organized training program
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Able to achieve Confidential security clearance
  • 2+ years Guard/Security Specialist I experience required; for internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience
  • Confidential security clearance with ability to achieve Secret security clearance
  • Military or Law Enforcement experience a plus
  • Industry relevant certifications (ASIS PSP) a plus
  • Strong understanding of Corporate Security Procedures
  • Strong understanding of Physical Security Devices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform de-escalation tactics and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle stress, high work volume, and frequent change
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
