About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the accounting function across the EMEA region
  • Lead accounting operations and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Manage accounting and reporting for 11 European entities to U.S. headquarters under US-GAAP and regional statutory reporting requirements
  • Conduct monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reconciliations
  • Coordinate daily activities and review work for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
  • Manage preparation of statutory accounts for European entities
  • Drive improvement, standardization, and transformation of EMEA accounting and reporting processes
  • Support the Oracle Fusion implementation and other finance initiatives
  • Act as primary liaison for internal and external audits
  • Partner with EMEA and global leadership teams on financial analysis, reporting insights, and strategic recommendations
  • Mentor and lead the accounting team
  • Hire qualified personnel, provide training, and manage performance, transfers, advancement, and termination
  • Manage daily operations to meet department and company objectives
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external business contacts across cultures and organizational levels

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' total management experience, including 3 years’ leadership experience in Accounting
  • Proven track record of managing and developing teams
  • Expertise in the consolidation of international entities within multinational organizations
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, applicable accounting standards, inventory and cost accounting
  • Profound experience in US-GAAP and solid understanding of local European accounting and regulatory requirements
  • Sound understanding of tax principles and their impact on financial reporting and business operations
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and lead organizational change initiatives
  • Strong experience in financial systems, MS Office, and an ERP system, preferably Oracle
  • Hands-on approach, combining management and personal production
  • Ability to support and collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Extremely confidential and trustworthy
  • Disciplined, well organized, flexible, and prepared to work within deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and make independent judgments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language
  • Professional certification in accounting or finance is preferred
  • Other languages are a plus
