About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design experiences that make people care about hunger and participate
- Run conference activations, ticketed events, food drives, and virtual fundraisers
- Report to the Director of Corporate Engagement
- Collaborate with Marketing, Partnerships, and Operations teams
- Plan and run conference activations, including booth experiences, packing events, food drives, and truck pulls
- Negotiate with vendors and manage materials, signage, shipping, staffing schedules, and partner coordination
- Lead on-site setup, execution, and breakdown; serve as the main live-event contact
- Create detailed run of shows
- Work with Marketing and Development to communicate the organization’s mission
- Lead ticketed and sponsored receptions, fundraisers, and industry gatherings
- Manage sponsor deliverables, vendors, and timelines to meet revenue, engagement, and impact goals
- Plan virtual events, webinars, and digital activations
- Identify new conferences and pitch organizers
- Build relationships with conference hosts, sponsors, and corporate partners
- Serve as the main contact for event-hosting or event-sponsoring partners
- Coordinate corporate food drives and community events with food bank and transportation partners
- Coordinate materials and reporting; ensure donations reach people in need
- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers
- Recruit and supervise interns, providing direction and feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in event management, communications, nonprofit management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years in event planning, experiential marketing, conferences, or nonprofit events
- Experience managing complex logistics, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers across multiple events at once
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Comfort in fast-paced settings and on-site execution
- Willingness to travel 25-40% for conferences and events
- Fully remote and U.S.-based
- Core hours Monday–Friday 9 AM–5 PM ET
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. for event materials and setup
