About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan production for industrial water/wastewater and environmental facilities using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Coordinate design elements with architecture, structures, environmental, site civil, and landscape disciplines
  • Define equipment, layout, and protection requirements for new and retrofit distribution stations according to applicable industry codes and standards
  • Interpret customer requirements and develop distribution station plans and specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system layout, SCADA controls, automation, and instrumentation
  • Prepare electrical calculations for low- and medium-voltage power distribution, lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems
  • Support water and wastewater projects across the region
  • Work under the Process and Controls Technical Service Manager alongside engineers, drafters, and technical managers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Working knowledge of power distribution (low and medium voltage), standby power systems, instrumentation, controls, lighting, and fire alarm systems
  • Prior experience in water and wastewater treatment preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with ICC, NEC, NFPA building codes, and LEED building standards
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit design software
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain it within 12 months of hire
