About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with business partners and scientists to understand operational pain points and identify high-value opportunities
Translate ambiguous needs into technical user stories
Own and prioritize the product backlog and organize it for regular deliveries
Author requirements, acceptance criteria, and value capture plans
Demo features, lead user enablement sessions, gather feedback, and measure adoption metrics
Analyze structured and unstructured data to address partner needs
Collaborate with Data Engineering teammates to integrate data science prototypes into reliable, production-ready pipelines
Establish evaluation metrics and validate performance for business needs
Develop product ownership skills through discovery, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and adoption initiatives
Work with data scientists, bioinformaticians, engineers, and scientific subject matter experts to support AI-enabled drug discovery and development

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of professional experience in data science, AI/ML Engineering, Agentic AI, AI Product Management, or related discipline
HS diploma
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, git, and data manipulation libraries such as Pandas
Experience establishing model evaluation frameworks, including LLM benchmarks and precision/recall measurement for NLP tasks
Hands-on experience or academic familiarity with NLP techniques, Hugging Face, spaCy, LangChain, and Agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph
Practical exposure to LLM workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and fine-tuning
Prior exposure to drafting technical requirements, defining success metrics, or structuring user stories
Ability to translate complex data science concepts to cross-functional stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience
Must be a US or Puerto Rico resident
