About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and oversee execution of an assigned portion of the Global and US market research plan within the product franchise
  • Lead and provide strategic thinking for primary market research projects
  • Frame critical business questions and identify information needs
  • Develop research and analysis plans and manage the research process
  • Understand business challenges and propose appropriate research methods and approaches
  • Apply best practices and develop innovative research techniques
  • Design effective research studies using various market research methodologies
  • Evaluate and apply AI-assisted synthesis, advanced analytics, digital personas, simulated respondents, and connected insights ecosystems
  • Analyze secondary data, syndicated reports, and databases
  • Integrate findings into primary research efforts and deliver concise, actionable results
  • Lead market research study execution, including planning, budget management, vendor briefing, timeline oversight, compliance, and delivery of insights and recommendations
  • Articulate business rationale, hypotheses, methodology, and expected impact to managers and franchise/client teams
  • Evaluate, select, and manage external research partners
  • Assess vendors’ AI-enabled research methodologies and analytics solutions
  • Engage marketing and commercial teams to integrate insights into decision-making and planning
  • Synthesize findings across multiple sources and provide consultative strategic guidance
  • Partner with pricing and access, sales, promotion, marketing, and Research & Development teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS required
  • MBA/MS preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of market research experience
  • Total of 10–14 years of relevant experience in related functions, including sales, marketing, and marketing/sales support
  • In-depth knowledge of the US healthcare environment
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and objectively
  • Mastery-level knowledge of the full range of market research methodologies
  • Ability to coach/guide others in applying market research methods and models
  • Experience working in a multi-product franchise preferred
  • Experience in Vaccines highly desirable
  • Thorough understanding of marketing principles and their application across product life-cycle stages and customer segments
  • Prior experience with innovative HCC and HCP research methods a plus
  • No visa sponsorship
  • Must be a US or Puerto Rico resident
  • Travel requirements: 10%
