About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the main company point of contact for large Oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks focused on Oncology and Hematology
  • Establish the company as an industry leader and trusted resource while supporting healthcare partners and providers and improving patient health outcomes
  • Manage assigned key accounts in the state of Texas as a field-based account manager
  • Build and maintain trust with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers
  • Lead through challenging and ambiguous situations while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines and objectives
  • Influence without authority during complex situations and foster collaborative problem-solving and consensus
  • Provide approved disease and product information to account decision makers and stakeholders
  • Lead efforts to maximize appropriate portfolio utilization and bring customer resources that contribute to better patient outcomes
  • Align responses to customer needs using approved company resources and messages
  • Apply knowledge of treatment decision factors, pathways, protocols, sites of care, guidelines, and quality initiatives
  • Use internal data and analytics to understand account performance and identify engagement opportunities
  • Develop and execute coordinated, longitudinal account plans
  • Analyze B2B buying factors, competitive landscape, industry trends, and economic conditions
  • Coordinate local account teams to ensure contract pull-through and address contract-term requests
  • Establish strategic account approaches aligned with approved marketing guidance
  • Align brand strategy and tactics with customer needs and business objectives
  • Build relationships with key decision makers, stakeholders, and influencers
  • Understand enterprise access points and stakeholders who influence and operationalize access
  • Capture, share, and communicate customer information internally using approved tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of sales experience OR a minimum of high school diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare, life sciences industry, sales, account management or managed care
  • Equivalent experience may include professional sales experience, healthcare/scientific work experience with oncology experience strongly preferred, professional marketing experience, or military experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to build and develop meaningful customer relationships with senior healthcare executives and key opinion leaders
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with ability to communicate value proposition and negotiate, if applicable
  • Strong understanding of healthcare ecosystem
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, internally and externally, with ability to interact with individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional, matrix organizations
  • Ability to travel ~50%
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Local market relationships and customer knowledge preferred
  • Current account management experience in large Oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks focused on Oncology and Hematology preferred
  • Must live within the Texas geography
  • No visa sponsorship
