About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the main point of contact with large Oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks focused on Oncology and Hematology
- Establish the company as an industry leader and trusted resource
- Support healthcare partners and providers and improve patient health outcomes
- Manage accounts across the Mid-South geography
- Build and maintain trust with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers
- Lead through challenging and ambiguous situations and prioritize tasks to meet objectives
- Influence stakeholders and lead without authority during complex situations
- Provide approved disease and product information to key decision makers
- Maximize appropriate utilization of the product portfolio
- Align approved resources and messages with customer needs and quality initiatives
- Understand treatment decision factors, pathways, protocols, sites of care, guidelines, and quality initiatives
- Use internal data and analytics to understand account performance and identify engagement opportunities
- Develop and execute coordinated, longitudinal account plans
- Coordinate local account teams to ensure contract pull-through and address requests for contract terms or conditions
- Establish strategic account approaches aligned with marketing guidance
- Align brand strategy and tactics with customer needs and business objectives
- Build relationships with decision makers, stakeholders, and influencers
- Identify resources supporting customer needs and understand enterprise access points
- Capture, share, and communicate customer information internally using approved tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of sales experience OR high school diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare, life sciences industry, sales, account management, or managed care
- Equivalent experience may include professional sales, healthcare/scientific work with oncology experience, professional marketing, or military experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to build and develop meaningful customer relationships with senior healthcare executives and key opinion leaders
- Demonstrated financial acumen with ability to communicate value proposition and negotiate, if applicable
- Strong understanding of healthcare ecosystem
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional, matrix organizations
- Ability to travel approximately 50%
- Oncology experience strongly preferred
- Advanced degree preferred
- Local market relationships and customer knowledge preferred
- Current account management experience in large Oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks focused on Oncology and Hematology preferred
