About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead project management for the development, delivery, and maintenance of a portfolio of metrics and analytics projects supporting strategic decisions, planning/execution, and performance monitoring across Global Clinical Trial Operations
  • Collect, assign, track, and prioritize requests for system upgrades, modifications, and bug fixes
  • Manage development timelines and resources using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and coordinate releases, communications, and training
  • Approve change requests for upgrades, bug fixes, and data changes; coordinate release planning and business impact assessment with Research & Development IT
  • Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test cases, issue tracking, and deployment documentation
  • Collaborate with process owners, stakeholders, and Research & Development IT to develop business cases for new tools and solutions
  • Ensure business needs and functionality criticality are documented in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation
  • Coordinate communication of system changes to process owners, requestors, and stakeholders
  • Develop processes for access and support of released tools
  • Collaborate with MAP team members and Research & Development IT to maintain and review internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Create user provisioning and deprovisioning processes with IT and support teams
  • Establish processes and guidelines for application data exchange and record retention

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 8+ years of experience in IT Project Management
  • Basic understanding of system testing and providing training to user communities
  • Knowledge of quality management and control tools
  • Ability to evaluate process implications of system changes, deal with conflict, and bring issues to resolution
  • Ability to identify critical inputs and outputs driving business processes and dependencies between workflow and dataflow
  • Strong understanding of reporting tools such as Qlik Sense and Power BI, plus modelling and planning tools
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills, including conflict resolution expertise and discretion
  • Customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with clients, third-party vendors, quality, and IT management/staff
  • Leadership experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Analytical ability, good judgment, multitasking, and prioritization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact proficiently with all levels of management and exert influence to achieve results
  • Experience getting things done in a complex work environment
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in clinical research/clinical development
  • Preferred: Knowledge of SQL or other database/query tools
