About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development and execution of therapeutic-area data enablement and analytics strategies
  • Create analytics KPIs and dashboards to monitor data performance, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Advise executive leadership, governance boards, and cross-functional leaders by translating analytical insights into strategic decisions
  • Oversee the design, performance, integrity, scalability, and compliance of automated data and analytics pipelines
  • Establish and enforce analytics governance, standards, metrics, and quality controls across programs and platforms
  • Drive adoption of AI/ML, advanced data visualization, predictive analytics, and other emerging technologies
  • Define best practices for dataset design, feature engineering, analytical evaluation, comparability, and reproducibility
  • Lead and mentor analytics team members
  • Strengthen analytics maturity through capability development and knowledge sharing
  • Partner with clinical, data management, and IT teams on interoperable analytics processes
  • Champion organizational change and adoption of new operating models and digital capabilities across global functions
  • Coordinate decisions across regions and time zones and engage vendor forums
  • Work in a hybrid arrangement with 25% travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biological Sciences, or a health care related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; OR Advanced Degree (Masters or Doctorate) in one of these fields with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated aptitude working with large datasets and transforming them into actionable insights
  • Deep subject matter expertise in a relevant discipline
  • People management skills
  • Programming and/or analysis experience with SQL, Python, R, Databricks, or similar
  • Expert knowledge of statistics, data visualization, organizational skills, time management, and database concepts
  • Expert knowledge of analytics governance frameworks, data strategy implementation, and cross-functional data integration
  • Expert knowledge of advanced data analytics, automation, and AI/ML evaluation applied to clinical and digital health data
  • Expert experience designing and overseeing automated analytics pipelines, data architectures, and metadata-driven workflows
  • Expert command of Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, or similar analytics and visualization tools
  • Expert knowledge of clinical and real-world data standards such as CDISC and SDTM, and regulatory compliance requirements such as GxP and 21 CFR Part 11
  • Expert experience driving enterprise-scale data transformation initiatives
