About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement sustainable global market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategies
  • Integrate market access strategy into the broader enterprise portfolio and account for the evolving policy landscape
  • Shape enterprise-level strategy and align R&D, commercial, and global market access functions
  • Lead global payer value proposition development and integrated access and pricing strategies
  • Develop payer value materials, including dossiers
  • Partner with Marketing, Product Development, R&D, Finance, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Medical Affairs, Policy, Communications, regional, and country teams
  • Shape long-term access strategy and evidence plans in the US and ex-US
  • Anticipate environmental and competitive pressures
  • Develop innovative pricing and access solutions with the Sustainable Access Solutions team and GMAx LT
  • Oversee payer and HTA/NITAG insights, market research, policy shaping, and fourth hurdle assessments
  • Inform investment and launch decisions
  • Own therapeutic-level access and pricing strategy, including tradeoffs, risk tolerance, escalation, governance, and compliance
  • Provide access assumptions for business development, portfolio strategy, and enterprise-wide prioritization
  • Build organizational capability and talent pipeline across the Vaccines Infectious Diseases team
  • Serve on the Vaccines Infectious Diseases Access & Pricing leadership team
  • Influence investment, launch strategy, and long-term portfolio value
  • Report to the Associate Vice President, Global Market Access Vaccines & Infectious Diseases

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • ≥10 years in market access, pricing/reimbursement, public health, health economics, sales/marketing, or market research
  • Knowledge and experience in infectious disease, preferably in vaccines
  • Prior experience developing global business strategy
  • Knowledge of health economic tools and techniques
  • People management experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in strategic leadership, innovation, team building, cross-functional influence, and executive communication
  • Demonstrated innovative mindset and comfort working in a white space environment
  • Ability to understand, develop, and communicate science-based strategies and messages
  • Inclusive behaviors and comfort working with different teams and backgrounds
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time
  • Valid driving license
  • Visa sponsorship available
  • US and Puerto Rico residents only
