About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete one or more research projects during a 10–12 week internship
  • Work collaboratively in PADT and LMA teams at state-of-the-art laboratories
  • Develop novel analytical methodologies supporting drug substance and drug product development
  • Solve challenges in product and process characterization
  • Use core instrumentation for analysis of small molecules, biologics, vaccines, manufacturing processes, and drug attributes
  • Develop analytical, physical, and biological chemistry methods
  • Gain exposure to screening, high-throughput analysis, materials characterization, mass spectrometry, NMR, separation techniques, assays, immunoassays, cell-based assays, trace metals analysis, statistical analysis, and machine learning
  • Participate in departmental and project team meetings
  • Record experimental details accurately in electronic notebooks
  • Analyze and interpret data for potential internal or external scientific publications
  • Refine laboratory skills and learn new analytical techniques
  • Present research results in oral and written formats

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biological Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related discipline
  • Must be available to work full-time for 10–12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2027
  • Must have completed at least 2 years of study toward a bachelor's degree by June 2027
  • Strong academic performance

  • Ability to work in a multifunctional environment
  • Significant interest in analytical sciences for small molecules, vaccines, and/or biologics
  • Basic laboratory skills and research experience preferred, including lab notebook recording, use of analytical instrumentation, analysis and interpretation of data, and safe lab practices
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • No visa sponsorship
  • Must be a US or Puerto Rico resident
