About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead all account management efforts with Oncology Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs)
  • Create and develop productive business relationships with GPO headquarters teams
  • Develop positive interactions and programs with key GPO members and physician practices
  • Monitor competitive contracting
  • Solicit GPO input on contract structure
  • Support contract negotiation
  • Engage GPOs for contract launch
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with each GPO headquarters
  • Communicate contract terms and conditions to practices for the Oncology portfolio
  • Provide input regarding exhibits and speaker program experience to US OCAR for internal planning
  • Introduce GPO headquarters to US OCAR for fee-for-service engagement when necessary
  • Provide GPO headquarters Strategic Account Manager contact information when requested by provider members
  • Travel approximately 50%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS or BA degree
  • 3+ years of Oncology GPO account manager or equivalent oncology experience
  • Oncology community customer knowledge and/or oncology GPO knowledge
  • Oncology product/disease knowledge
  • Buy-and-bill (specialty) and oral specialty pharmacy knowledge desired
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%
  • Communication skills with executive presence
  • Strong project management experience coordinating broad matrix teams within Oncology roles
  • Presentation and consultative selling skills
  • Demonstrated successful negotiation skills
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Strategic account planning skills
  • Highly developed leadership skills
  • Analytical capabilities
  • Working knowledge of managed care operations, contracting strategy, and healthcare systems structure and function
  • Knowledge of healthcare trends and policies
  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical manager (people leader) experience preferred
  • Valid driving license required
  • No visa sponsorship
