About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage customers to address identified needs and educate key stakeholders about oncology products
- Communicate with the broader oncology community and achieve or exceed assigned sales goals
- Manage the Omaha, Nebraska territory, including Des Moines, Iowa
- Travel to visit customers in person and attend national sales meetings and industry conferences
- Work with territory team members to attain or exceed assigned sales goals
- Meet key stakeholders to understand practice structure, business models, influencers, priorities, and needs
- Build business relationships and trust to uncover customer needs
- Use approved resources and messaging to communicate patient-centered product value for indicated uses
- Apply knowledge of multidisciplinary care teams, cancer staging, treatment options, pathways, and disease guidelines
- Analyze trends in complex buying environments and drug distribution channels
- Review patterns for products purchased and prescribed across outpatient and inpatient infusion settings, hospitals, and GPO contracts
- Develop and execute short- and long-term plans with the local team and district manager
- Ensure a consistent customer experience across divisions and functional areas
- Share key learnings and collaborate with the customer team, including Customer Team Leader, Key Account Manager, Nurse Educator, Field Reimbursement Associate, and Medicare Account Executive
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of sales experience OR a minimum of high school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience
- Equivalent experience may include professional sales experience, healthcare/scientific work experience with oncology experience strongly preferred, professional marketing experience, or military experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle
- Willingness to travel as required, including overnight travel of 10–15%
- Reside in or within a reasonable distance to the district
- 2+ years of oncology field-based experience selling an oncology therapeutic to oncology customers preferred
- Oncology field sales or clinical oncology experience preferred
- Documented strong performance in a sales/marketing or oncology clinical role preferred
- Less than 2 years of oncology field sales experience considered for S2 level; 2+ years considered for S3 level
- Account management, biopharmaceutical industry, business relationship building, customer engagement, CRM, data analysis, lead generation, market analysis, marketing, oncology, oncology sales, product knowledge, product portfolio management, revenue generation, sales forecasting, sales reporting, and sales training
- US and Puerto Rico residents only
