About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the Washington D.C. geography
  • Work with territory team members to deliver territory results
  • Meet key stakeholders to understand practice structure, business models, influencers, priorities, and needs
  • Build business relationships and trust with oncology customers
  • Educate stakeholders about oncology products and communicate with the broader oncology community
  • Use approved resources and messaging to communicate patient-centered product value in indicated uses
  • Apply knowledge of multidisciplinary care teams, cancer staging, treatment options, pathways, and guidelines
  • Analyze trends in complex drug-distribution and buying environments
  • Review product purchasing and prescribing patterns across outpatient and inpatient infusion settings, hospitals, and GPO contracts
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term plans with the local team and district manager
  • Ask insightful questions to support relevant product-portfolio conversations
  • Ensure a consistent customer experience across company divisions and functions
  • Share customer learnings and collaborate with Customer Team Leaders, Key Account Managers, Nurse Educators, Field Reimbursement Associates, Medicare Account Executives, and others
  • Travel to customers in person and attend national sales meetings and industry conferences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of sales experience OR minimum of high school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience
  • Equivalent experience may include professional sales experience, healthcare/scientific work experience with oncology experience strongly preferred, professional marketing experience, or military experience
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle
  • Ability to travel as required, including 10–15% overnight travel
  • Reside in or within a reasonable distance to the district
  • Willingness to visit customers in person and attend national sales meetings/industry conferences
  • 2+ years of oncology field-based experience selling an oncology therapeutic to oncology customers preferred
  • Oncology field sales or clinical oncology experience preferred
  • Documented strong performance in a sales/marketing or oncology clinical role preferred
  • Less than 2 years of oncology field sales experience considered for S2 level; 2+ years considered for S3 level
  • US and Puerto Rico residents only
  • No visa sponsorship
  • Valid driving license required
