Key responsibilities & impact

  • Engage customers to address identified needs

  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales goals within the Lexington, Kentucky territory
  • Work with territory team members to attain or exceed geographic sales goals
  • Meet stakeholders to understand practice structure, business models, and key influencers
  • Build business relationships and trust to uncover customer needs
  • Communicate patient-centered value propositions for oncology products using approved resources and messaging
  • Apply knowledge of multidisciplinary care teams, cancer staging, treatment options, pathways, and guidelines
  • Analyze trends in complex buying environments and drug distribution channels
  • Review product purchasing and prescribing patterns
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term territory plans with the local team and district manager
  • Conduct relevant customer conversations by understanding priorities and needs
  • Coordinate a consistent customer experience across company divisions and functional areas
  • Share customer insights with the customer team, including the Customer Team Leader, Key Account Manager, Nurse Educator, Field Reimbursement Associate, and Medicare Account Executive
  • Cover Lexington and Ashland, Kentucky, and Huntington, West Virginia
  • Travel approximately 25% overnight depending on location

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of sales experience OR high school diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of oncology field-based experience selling an oncology therapeutic to oncology customers
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle
  • Ability to travel as required, including approximately 25% overnight travel
  • Residence in or within a reasonable distance to the assigned territory
  • Equivalent experience may include professional sales, healthcare/scientific work with oncology experience, professional marketing, or military experience
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
  • Documented strong performance in a sales, marketing, or oncology clinical role preferred
  • Clinical oncology experience across multiple solid tumors preferred
  • Candidates with less than 2 years of oncology field sales experience may be considered for the S2 level
  • No visa sponsorship
