About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage customers to address identified needs and educate key stakeholders about oncology products
  • Communicate with the broader oncology community and achieve or exceed assigned sales goals
  • Cover the Cincinnati, Ohio territory, including Dayton, Ohio
  • Work with territory team members to attain or exceed assigned geographic sales goals
  • Meet key stakeholders to understand practice structure, business models, and influencers while building relationships and trust
  • Use approved resources and messaging to communicate patient-centered value of oncology products
  • Apply knowledge of multidisciplinary care teams, cancer staging, treatment options, pathways, and guidelines across tumors and diseases
  • Analyze trends in complex buying environments, including GPOs, wholesalers, and specialty pharmacies
  • Review product purchasing and prescribing patterns across outpatient and inpatient infusion settings, hospitals, and GPO contracts
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term plans with the local team and district manager/Oncology Customer Team Leader
  • Understand customer priorities and needs through insightful questioning
  • Ensure consistent customer experiences across divisions and functions
  • Communicate and collaborate with Customer Team Leaders, Key Account Managers, Nurse Educators, Field Reimbursement Associates, Medicare Account Executives, and other customer-team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of sales experience OR high school diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience
  • Equivalent experience may include professional sales, healthcare/scientific work with oncology experience, professional marketing, or military experience
  • At least 2 years of oncology field-based experience selling an oncology therapeutic to oncology customers
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle
  • Ability to travel as required, including approximately 25% overnight travel
  • Must reside in or within a reasonable distance to the assigned Cincinnati/Dayton territory
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
  • Documented strong performance in sales, marketing, or an oncology clinical role preferred
  • Clinical oncology experience across multiple solid tumors preferred
  • Candidates with less than 2 years of oncology field sales experience may be considered for the S2 level
  • Candidates with 2+ years of oncology field sales experience will be considered for the S3 level
