About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage in scientific exchange and research support with external scientific leaders and investigators in Pulmonary Hypertension
  • Provide balanced, factual scientific information about non-product areas, company products, and company data
  • Develop and manage peer-level relationships with national, regional, and clinical practice scientific leaders and investigators
  • Conduct proactive non-product scientific discussions on disease states, diagnosis, epidemiology, unmet medical needs, and population health
  • Facilitate scientific information exchange and provide actionable insights to Research & Development and Human Health strategies
  • Communicate stakeholder opinions, insights, and feedback to Medical Affairs headquarters teams
  • Represent Research & Development at scientific meetings and congresses; contribute to debriefs, insight discussions, and post-congress reports
  • Support company-sponsored trials and Investigator Study Programs as the primary liaison to investigators
  • Identify potential investigators for Phase II-IV clinical development programs and support sponsored trials
  • Provide in-depth scientific support to Health Systems Teams
  • Maintain disease and therapeutic area expertise through conferences, workshops, and journal review
  • Comply with company policies, applicable laws, regulations, ethical standards, field SOPs, GCP guidelines, and GMSA strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • M.D., Ph.D., Pharm.D. or relevant APP credential in the Pulmonary Hypertension area
  • Three years in the biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare environment
  • Three years clinical and/or research experience beyond the terminal degree program in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary therapeutic areas, or five years of Medical Scientific Liaison experience in relevant therapeutic areas
  • Demonstrated scientific excellence in the relevant therapeutic areas
  • Principled interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills
  • Deep therapeutic competency in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary/translational science areas
  • Ability to network and partner with scientific leaders, investigators, clinical practice leaders, academic institutions, and treatment guideline members
  • Knowledge of national and society treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, OIG, HIPAA, and relevant ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to consolidate and understand complex data sets, execute data analyses, summarize or synthesize data, and objectively interpret results
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment
  • Candidates must reside within the defined Southwest territory: Arizona, Nevada, Utah, or New Mexico
  • Valid driving license
  • Ability to travel 50%
